Addison is 11 months old.

Dearest Addison,

Yesterday was your 11th month of life with us.  We are so excited to see how much you've grown in this time.  It seems only yesterday you were still laying face down on the ground barely able to lift up your head.  Now, you're starting to walk.  You took your first real steps a couple of weeks ago.  We were sitting in the living room watching you play with your toys when you suddenly stood up and took two steps towards me and your mommy.  We were so overjoyed that you did it all by yourself.  Apparently, you were overjoyed as well, being that you started clapping your hands and laughing so hard you fell back on you bum. =)

This month starts the holiday season for us, and to kick it off we took you apple picking at Dr Davies Farm in Congers, NY. We had an interesting day to say the least. You were not in much of a good mood. Anyhow, here are some pictures.

A neat little tractor.

Here you are smiling at mommy with your first real pumkin!

In the orchard... apples apples everywhere....and only two teeth to eat them with.

This is the face you had on most of the day.  Unfortunately you were not in the best of moods that day.

But we did get you to laugh... once.

My little pumkin...

Here you are at the dinner table making faces.  You really crack me up sometimes... =)

No seriously...

This face is something you learned from your ninang (godmother) Riela... oh the things you learn sometimes.

Here's your ninang for comparison.

This is a picture you mommy took of you one day when you discovered the properties of a glass door.

My dear, I've learned some really neat things about you these past 11 months that makes me so proud to be your daddy. You are quite the comedian, I think you got that from me. If there is one thing in life that you should never forget, that is to never take yourself to seriously. Kick back, stop and smell the roses, and never forget to smile. You have a ways about you that brings a joy to others in ways that I have never seen or experienced. You are my little angel and I adore you more than anything in the world. As we prepare to celebrate your first year of life, I want you to know that we, your mommy and daddy, will always be here to support you and raise you to be a strong, independent, and compassionate person.

Clark Family Session

With wedding season winding down, we've focused our time on doing family portraits.  We spent a morning with the Clark family at their home in Cortlandt Manor, NY this weekend.  We stomped around the back yard, jumping in the leaves and just enjoying the cool autumn air.  Afterwards Jason and I went on a champagne run to enjoy some Mimosa's (yum!).

This is Caitlin.  As you can see, she was a bit shy at first.

We eventually got her jumping around and playing in the leaves.

... I was serious about the other woman thing. =)

To Jason, Jennifer and Caitlin,
Thanks so much for inviting us into your home.  We had a blast hanging out with you this weekend.  Caitlin, thanks for sharing your awesome toys with Addison.  She told me that night how much she likes playing with you.  Hopefully, you can come over and play with her some day?

The Wedding of Christina & Robert

Being a military veteran, I always try to give back to those who sacrifice for the freedoms that many of us take for granted. Christina and Robert approached me to photograph their wedding and I jumped at the chance. Robert is a Captain in the army and a 2004 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Their ceremony was held at the cadet chapel, and let me just say... WOW! This place is absolutely amazing! Robert, just to let you know dude... the Air Force Academy got nothing on West Point. =)

Christina, Roberts lovely bride, was glowing all day. This girl is so much fun (she had Audrey laughing the whole time) and oh so very photogenic. What can I say... when you have a gorgeous couple who knows how to pose... it makes it seem so easy. We had such a wonderful time that I didn't realize how tired I was until I got up the next morning. =)

Make up by Christina =)

Who doesn't love a man in uniform?

West Point's Cadet Chapel... OMG wow!

Dad and Christina, I swear the aisle was the length of a football field and then some...

Whack!

What a gorgeous bride!

and a hot groom!  Down Audrey! Down!

After the ceremony, we had about an hour of "free-time" with the bride and groom and we walked all over West Point to get some really cool shots.  We snapped this one quickly as other wedding photographers were waiting with their couples for this spot...

Sweet!

Sexy!

Steamy!

Cute!

This was our first wedding experimenting with off camera lighting inspired by a great photographer out in california by the name of Ed Pingol Seriously, this dude is my hero. =)

This one was a happy accident! =)

The song that Christina and her father danced to was a song by the country group Heartland called "I loved her first".  I have to admit, I'm a bit of a sap and got really choked up while I was capturing these.  It made me think of the day that I'll have to give away my little Addison.

Check out the slideshow I put together for them. You can also see the full size version HERE.

To our new friends Christina and Robert, thank you so very much for allowing us the honor of documenting your wedding day. We were touched by your kindness and lighthearted demeanor. Have a great time on your honeymoon and we'll see you both in Hawaii very soon!

Wishing you all the best,
Jaymie, Audrey, Izzac and Addison
