Miscellaneous Monday

"Whoa..." -Keanu Reeves in every movie he's ever done.

It sure has been a while since my last Miscellaneous Monday entry. Talk about dropping the ball...

Starting yesterday until Tuesday will be me Addi's first time alone without Mommy since she was born. Audrey left yesterday afternoon to Atlanta for a business trip which leaves me with our almost 2 year old terror. I'm absolutely terrified! LOL! No seriously, as a family we have never been apart for more than 24 hours and I'm a bit nervous about the whole deal, actually Audrey and I were away in Vegas for a few days this year but with Addi being watched by here Nana (my mom), she didn't even bat an eye. Thank goodness Audrey's mom is kind enough to help out and take Addi to day care for me.

It's about 6 am now and Addi is sound asleep. I got to bed around 11:30 after doing my nightly routine of washing sippy cups and bottles and cleaning up the living room after Addi's nightly physical inventory of all her toys.

Audrey's mom should be here in an hour or so to wake her up and take her to day care. I didn't sleep much last night, I miss my wife... I never realized how connected at the hip we are. It's pretty pathetic, but you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way.

...only 36 hours left to go... and just think, I get to this all again next week when Audrey leaves for Baltimore. Wish me luck!

Taylor and Sly: A Westport, CT Engagement

I met Taylor and Sly through a mutual friend. Who happens to be on her way to her own bridal shower today. Congrats to our good friends Christina and Nitin! Anyhow, Taylor had contacted me for her May 2010 wedding this past spring. I was so stoked that Christina had referred us and was even more excited when I met these two love birds and saw how in love these two were.

We met this past weekend in Westport, CT to do their engagement session. I checked the forecast that day and it said, sunny and clear.... but I forgot to read the temperature. It was a chilly 45 degrees when we arrived. And Taylor was wearing a short blue dress, and Sly, a short sleeve shirt. Things warmed up pretty quickly and we had some fun running around this coastal Connecticut town. Check em out!

I choose Westport because it's got some great textures, colors, and is located somewhat between where we all lived.... not! Actually, when I mapped the location, I saw this street below and just had to have this shot.

mmmmm Tiffany & Co., a girls dream come true, a man's credit card black hole... Don't ask me how I know, Audrey and Addi may come after me.

This shot is teh win!

Taylor had asked me that morning if there were any places with flowers to take photos. I thought I had seen a garden while driving in that morning but it turned out to be a planter with weeds growing out of it.... I totally mcgyver'd this shot. =)

Taylor and Sly,

Thanks for coming up to meet me for your engagements session. We'll see you at Christina and Nitin's wedding in November!

Erin and Patrick: A Hudson Valley Wedding

Erin and Patrick were wed this past saturday at St. Mary's church in Fishkill, NY. We had a blast hanging out with them and their bridal party. We were truly blessed that day with a sunny day and a gorgeous couple. Here are some favorites from Saturday.

I knew from the get go, even at their engagement session that, Erin was a bit shy in front of the camera. My goal for the day was to capture her the way she truly is, a smart beautiful woman with a great smile and a big heart.

See! That wasn't so hard now was it?

The Bridal Party

Erin and Patrick sharing a tender moment.

These two are just adorable. =)

The reception was held at the Dutchess Manor in Beacon, NY. I love shooting here, it overlooks the hudson river and makes for some really BADASS sunset shots... pardon my language... that's how awesome it is.

Daddy with Erin

Patrick with Mom

This party was all about bringing back the old school... here's Patrick's rendition of the robot.

Shakin that booty...

Shot's of Wild Turkey? Ah that brings back memories of my druken sailor days on liberty in Thailand... LOL!

Now this... this is priceless and truly old school. How many people do you know still remember the "kid n play" or can even do it for that matter? These two rocked it to vanilla ice... werd to your mother.

Erin and Patrick,

Thanks for being such a rockin couple. We had an amazing time with you and your family. We wish you both the best!
